Revlon appointed first Woman CEO in history


Beauty products Company Revlon Inc. appointed Debra G. Perelman its chief executive officer as the cosmetics company owned by her father Ronald Perelman.

Debra G. Perelman is a thoughtful, team-oriented and decisive leader; Ms.Perelman has a track record for innovation and breaking paradigms to compete in today’s digital and consumer-first environment. She is recognized for her global perspective, financial acumen and holistic approach to brands, consumers and technology.


Ms.Perelman is co-founder and Vice Chairman of the Child Mind Institute, an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. She also serves as a member of the Board of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and is a member of the President’s Advisory Council at Princeton University.

Revlon has been struggling financially. The company reported a loss in its most recent quarter, and sales were down compared to a year earlier. Debra Perelman started working at Revlon in 1998 and became a member of the Revlon board in 2015. She has also worked for Revlon as executive vice president and head of new business development for its holding company, MacAndrews & Forbes.
