Ola’s Chief People Officer, Susheel Balakrishnan has resigned a mere six months after joining. Susheel had joined the company in April and had replaced Yugantar Saika to lead the HR function.
Susheel is an experienced HR professional with a demonstrated history of working across FMCG and Food Retail industry in Blue Chip Companies. He has worked as Chief People Officer at MENAPak, which runs Yum! Foods. He has also worked in Procter & Gamble for over a decade as HR Associate Director.
Based on Balakrishnan’s LinkedIn profile, he is a strong, commercially-oriented human resources professional skilled in transformation, business partnership, HR consulting, culture change, and executive coaching. He is an alumnus of TISS Mumbai, was based out of Dubai and West Asia for the last 14 years.
The Company has appointed Srinivas Chunduru the interim Chief People Officer. He is one of Ola’s key advisors. HR Transformation and creation of an ecosystem for Skilling through establishing Skilling Universities across the country are some of his focus areas. Srinivas is a business leader with over two decades of experience across diverse functions such as P&L Management, Business development, Corporate Strategy, M&A, Investor Relations and Strategic Human Resources.
2018 has been a year filled with senior exits. In May, COO, Vishal Kaul resigned from the post. Then later, in September, Saikaran Krishnamurthy, Senior Vice President of Growth at Ola and Joy Bandekar, Corporate President of new initiatives at the firm had resigned.
