Capgemini to hire up to 15,000 freshers, Rs 6.5 lakh salary for Top Graduates

Capgemini and Coursera partnership is aimed to enhance the learning of critical new skills such as those in digital professional services and cloud computing

The French company, Capgemini is all set to hire 12,000 to 15,000 students from Indian campuses in 2020. The company had recruited similar numbers of students last year.

Capgemini offers an average salary of Rs 3.8 lakh/annum to the freshers. However, the annual package for IITs and NITs students go up to Rs 6.5 lakh.

Capgemini India CEO Ashwin Yardi said, “Our Indian operations has the largest pool of certified consultants in new Hana, SAP’s flagship product. We have 1800 while our nearest competitor in India is 500. The focus is on continued skilling. On average, we are reskilling 60,000 plus employees.”

The company was betting on 5G technologies and had set up two labs-in Paris and Mumbai-to find a solution for it, he said

Yardi added, “5G is not just about telecom. It will create a much bigger revolution in industrial IoT space. 5G will change how services are created around data acquisition and what you can do with it.”

Capgemini hired Airtel’s Monica Gupta as Vice President to drive its 5G and communication technologies business in India. It also hired Honeywell’s Maneesh Pant as Vice President of automotive, mobility and EUC (Energy, Utilities & Chemicals) sector in India.
