Abhimanyu Sen Takes Charge as Group CHRO at Allana Group

Abhimanyu Sen has taken on the role of Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Allana Group, one of India’s largest food companies.

The announcement was shared by Abhimanyu himself on LinkedIn. In his post, he expressed his excitement about starting this new chapter in his career.

With over two decades of experience in human resources, Abhimanyu’s appointment is expected to bring transformative changes to the HR strategies of the Allana Group.

Responsibilities at Allana Group

As the Group CHRO, Abhimanyu Sen will lead the human resources function across Allana Group’s diverse business verticals. His responsibilities will include:

  • Talent Management: Attracting, retaining, and developing top talent to drive business growth.
  • Employee Engagement: Fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • HR Strategy: Aligning HR initiatives with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Workforce Optimization: Streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

The company has a workforce of approximately 18,000 employees, including both on-roll and off-roll staff.

Abhimanyu’s role will be crucial in shaping the company’s HR policies and practices.

A Stellar Career in Human Resources and Educational Background

Abhimanyu Sen’s professional journey is marked by his extensive experience in HR leadership, organizational transformation, and workforce strategy.

Before joining Allana Group, he served as the Head of Human Resources at Mahindra Group, where he oversaw HR strategies for multiple businesses, including Mahindra Home Finance and Mahindra Electric Vehicle Technology Center.

During his tenure at Mahindra, he made significant contributions to organizational restructuring and workforce optimization.

He also played a key role in HR integration for mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to his role at Mahindra, Abhimanyu worked with GE, where he led HR initiatives across GE Power, GE Oil & Gas, and GE Capital.

His expertise in global talent management and leadership coaching was instrumental in driving HR transformation projects.

Abhimanyu has also held key HR roles at Kotak Life Insurance, EY, and ICICI Bank, where he focused on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and leadership development.

Abhimanyu Sen holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

He has also completed the Global Program in Management Development from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

His academic credentials, combined with his professional experience, make him a highly qualified leader in the HR domain.
