Adani Group Appoints Manoj Kumar Sharma as Group Head – IR

Adani Group, one of India’s largest and most diversified conglomerates, has announced the appointment of Manoj Kumar Sharma as Group Head – Industrial Relations (IR).

Before his current role, Manoj served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Ambuja Cements Ltd., where he led HR transformation initiatives across Adani, ACC, and Ambuja companies.

His efforts in developing robust employee engagement frameworks and grievance redressal systems earned him a reputation for integrity-driven, people-first leadership.

Vision for Industrial Relations at Adani Group

As Group Head – Industrial Relations, Manoj Kumar Sharma will lead IR strategy across Adani Group’s industrial operations.

His focus will be on fostering harmonious workforce engagement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving sustainable labor relations.

With his extensive expertise, Manoj is well-positioned to navigate the complexities of industrial relations in India’s evolving business landscape.

A Career Spanning Over Three Decades

Manoj Kumar Sharma brings over 30 years of experience in human resources, employee relations, and industrial operations across diverse sectors, including power, infrastructure, cement, and manufacturing.

His career journey began at Ranbaxy Laboratories as a Personnel Supervisor, where he gained foundational experience in plant-level HR operations and industrial relations.

Over the years, he has held leadership roles at prominent organizations such as Aditya Birla Group, HEG Limited, Flex Industries, and Ispat Industries.

Contributions to Adani Group

Manoj Kumar Sharma’s association with Adani Group dates back to 2013, when he joined Adani Power as Head – Human Resources.

He later held key positions at Adani Green Energy, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd., and Adani Infra, where he managed IR, policy design, talent strategy, and workforce alignment for critical infrastructure and renewable energy businesses.

His leadership was instrumental in driving HR transformation and operational scale during phases of rapid business expansion.
