AISATS Appoints HR Veteran Namit Baikar as CHRO

Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS), a leading gateway services provider in India, has announced the appointment of Namit Baikar as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April 1, 2025.

With nearly two decades of experience in human resources across diverse industries, Namit’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen AISATS’ HR framework and drive organizational growth.

AISATS, headquartered in Mumbai, operates at major airports across India, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangaluru, and Ranchi.

The company provides comprehensive gateway services, including ground and cargo handling, with a workforce of over 13,000 professionals.

AISATS is committed to creating seamless travel experiences, safe cargo operations, and a customer-centric approach to aviation services.

As CHRO, Namit will be instrumental in aligning AISATS’ HR strategies with its business objectives.

His focus will include talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, and compliance with HR best practices.

Namit Baikar’s appointment is expected to enhance AISATS’ organizational culture and drive its mission of delivering excellence in aviation services.

AISATS CHRO Namit Baikar’s Professional Journey

Namit Baikar brings a wealth of experience to AISATS, having worked in aviation, manufacturing, retail, and logistics sectors across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.

Prior to joining AISATS, Baikar served as the Head of Human Capital for SATS India, where he led HR operations across subsidiaries and joint ventures.

He also played a pivotal role as an HC Business Partner for Global Operations and Food Solutions, focusing on talent management, strategic HR initiatives, and compliance.

Namit’s career highlights include his tenure at IKEA, where he spearheaded the company’s market entry and distribution strategy in India and the Asia-Pacific region.

He excelled in employer branding, leadership development, and business transformation.

Notably, he led the establishment of IKEA’s first “dark store” and fulfillment team to launch its e-commerce operations.

Earlier in his career, Namit held key HR leadership roles at A.P. Moller – Maersk, where he focused on business partnering, talent management, and change management.

He also contributed to McKinsey & Company’s ‘Operational Excellence’ rollout at Maersk.

Namit’s diverse experience positions him as a versatile HR leader capable of driving workforce development and organizational excellence.

He holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and is a certified leadership coach.

Namit is also a Six Sigma Green Belt holder, reflecting his expertise in process improvement and operational efficiency.

His educational and professional credentials make him well-equipped to navigate the complexities of HR management in a dynamic industry.
