AXISCADES Appoints New Leaders to Drive Growth in Aerospace and ESAI

AXISCADES Technologies Limited, a leading provider of end-to-end technology and engineering solutions, has announced the appointment of KP Mohanakrishnan as Deputy CEO & President – Aerospace and D Murali Krishnan as Chief Operating Officer & President – ESAI.

The Board of Directors approved these leadership changes on April 9, 2025. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s transformation journey.

The appointments aim to drive growth and innovation in key sectors such as aerospace, defence technology, and semiconductors.

The company is focused on expanding its capabilities in AI-led aerospace applications, semiconductor innovation, and chip-to-product development.

Strategic Importance of the Appointments at AXISCADES Technologies

The appointments of KP Mohanakrishnan and D Murali Krishnan mark a critical phase for AXISCADES.

The company is accelerating efforts to realign its organizational structure to adapt to the rapidly evolving global aerospace and defence ecosystem.

The integration of AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Mistral Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has been instrumental in unlocking synergies.

It has also strengthened AXISCADES’ position as a key player in India’s push for self-reliance in aerospace and defence technology.

Alfonso Martinez, CEO and MD of AXISCADES, emphasized the importance of these appointments, stating, “Leaders like Mohanakrishnan and Murali will play a critical role in driving impact at scale as we shape the next phase of our journey defined by innovation, agility, and impact.”

KP Mohanakrishnan: Deputy CEO & President – Aerospace

KP Mohanakrishnan brings over three decades of experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, and general engineering.

He held previous leadership roles at Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt. Ltd. and Tata Advanced Materials Ltd.

Through these positions, he gained valuable expertise in building strategic manufacturing relationships.

He also demonstrated his ability to establish long-term value in these positions.

He has worked closely with international OEMs, Tier suppliers, and Indian defence agencies such as MoD, HAL, ISRO, and DRDO.

Mohanakrishnan expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “Our goal is to become one of the top global aerospace players by addressing the industry’s needs in engineering as well as rapid and service-based manufacturing.”

He added, “I am excited to build upon the foundation laid by Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan and contribute to AXISCADES’ vision of being a technology-driven product company.”

D Murali Krishnan: COO & President – ESAI AXISCADES

D Murali Krishnan joins AXISCADES as COO.

He will continue serving as CEO of Mistral Solutions, a subsidiary focused on chip-to-product, defence, electronics, semiconductor, and AI applications.

Murali Krishnan has a proven track record of leading a $200 million Digital Engineering business at Cyient Limited.

He also served as CEO of Engineering Services at Pennar Industries, showcasing his blend of digital foresight and operational excellence.

He highlighted AXISCADES’ potential to lead in AI-led innovation and product development, stating, “With our strong foundation in product engineering and growing capability in chip-to-product solutions, we have the opportunity to shape next-generation systems that are smarter and globally competitive.”
