BlackSoil hires Somaira Khan from Michael Page as Senior VP-HR

BlackSoil, one of India’s leading alternative investment platforms, has announced the appointments of five senior vice presidents to strengthen its leadership team.

These appointments are aimed at enhancing investment, fundraising, and human resources functions, aligning with the company’s growth strategy.

At BlackSoil, Aditya Sarda and Vaibhav Nigam joined as the senior vice presidents of investments, while Somaira Khan became the senior vice president of human resources.

Prashant Pulipaka and Nikhil Hegde assumed the roles of senior vice presidents of fundraising. By recruiting resources with such extensive backgrounds, invaluable expertise, and domain knowledge, BlackSoil has strategically strengthened its position in the alternative credit market, ensuring growth and innovation.

Somaira Khan is an accomplished HR professional with a proven track record in talent acquisition and HR leadership. She has accumulated 15 years of experience, consistently embracing challenges and driving organizational success through her strategic approach.

Somaira has a strong track record of partnering with senior leadership, aligning HR strategies with business objectives, and driving impactful HR initiatives that contribute to organizational growth.

Prior to BlackSoil, she was associated with Michael Page as Practice Lead – Banking Recruitment Practice.

His earlier stints include working with Emirates NBD, Avista Advisory Group, and Navis Capital Partners.

Prashant Pulipaka brings over 20 years of experience in Investor Relations and Fundraising, having previously held senior posts at Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors, Pavestone VC and IDFC Alternatives.

Nikhil Hegde, with 15 years of diverse experience, including roles as True Beacon’s business development head in the GCC region and India and CEO of Small Bus Hospitality for over 9 years, brings exceptional entrepreneurial insight to fundraising.
