DCM Shriram appoints TISS alumnus Hameed Jung as Vice President and Group Head, Learning and Development.
He joins DCM Shriram from Baxter International Inc. where he was associated with the organization as Head of Talent Management, India.
Before Baxter, Hameed Jung worked with GE as Global HR Business partner- Construction and Commissioning and Steam India Projects.
In this role, he was responsible for providing expertise and guidance in all areas of organization support, including HR & business strategy alignment, organization design, workforce planning, culture and change management, leadership development and coaching, pipeline development, and succession planning for the projects organization and Global construction and commissioning.
Earlier, Hameed has been associated with GE Power as Head- Human Resources, Boilers Noida Unit. In this role, he was heading HR for GE Boilers Unit at Noida.
Hameed’s stint also includes working with General Motors as Head OD, Change Management, and Training. In this role, he was responsible for setting up the OD and Change Management function for GM in India which involved amongst other activities deploying GM’s talent management tools in India as well as the flagship Global Leadership Development Program with the help of the Asia Pacific GM team.
He has led various leadership roles in his career span of 17 years. He worked with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited as Senior Manager of Human Resources. In this role, he was responsible for handling Sales HR for Delhi, Gujarat, UP, and MP. Involved in hiring, developing, and retaining employees. Responsible for Recruitment, Employee engagement activities, Training, PMS, Employee issue resolution, etc.
Hameed holds his Master’s degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
He started his career in 2005 at Right Management as a consultant involved in activities like competency mapping, conducting LSIP-large scale interactive process workshops, TQM, Deployment of Balance score card, and Team Building interventions for Multinational and Indian Companies.
