Hina Nagarajan’s Transition to Global Role
Hina Nagarajan will transition to a new role on Diageo’s global executive committee after four years of steering the company to significant milestones.
Hina Nagarajan took on the role of Managing Director and CEO at Diageo India in July 2021.
Before this, she led Diageo’s Africa Emerging Markets (AEM) division starting in August 2018, managing operations in countries like Ghana, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Angola, and others in the region.
In her AEM role, she was responsible for driving profit and growth, making strategic investments, and overseeing new market entries.
She also focused on corporate governance and compliance across all regional business units. Her leadership helped AEM become a key contributor to Diageo’s growth in Africa, with operating margins doubling under her guidance.
Before joining Diageo, Nagarajan spent over three decades in the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
She held leadership roles at companies such as Reckitt, Mary Kay India, and Nestlé India, gaining extensive experience in managing large-scale operations and delivering results.
Her upcoming global role shows her significant contributions to Diageo and her ability to lead in complex, diverse markets.
