JSW Energy, one of India’s leading energy companies, has announced the appointment of Feby Koshy as Executive Vice President – Head of Thermal, effective from December 30, 2024.
In a related development, Birendra Pandey, who was heading International Business Development at JSW Energy, has resigned from his position due to personal reasons.
His resignation is effective December 31, 2024.
The company has expressed gratitude for his contributions and wished him well for his future endeavors.
Feby Koshy’s Strategic Appointment at JSW Energy
Feby Koshy brings over 32 years of experience in the power sector.
He has previously worked with JSW Energy for about 13 years, from November 1997 to June 2010, during which he served as the technical head of the 1,200 MW greenfield power project at the company’s Ratnagiri plant.
His extensive experience and deep understanding of the industry make him a valuable addition to the executive team.
The appointment of Feby Koshy was approved by JSW Energy’s board on the recommendation of the Compensation & Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
His role as EVP-Head Thermal will involve overseeing the company’s thermal power operations, ensuring efficient and sustainable energy production.
Company’s Outlook and Future Plans
JSW Energy has been actively expanding its portfolio and capabilities in the energy sector.
Recently, the company signed an agreement to acquire O2 Power’s green energy platform in a $1.47 billion enterprise value deal.
This acquisition is expected to significantly enhance JSW Energy’s renewable energy capacity and support its ambitious growth objectives.
