On July 01, Swadesh Behera has taken charge as Chief People Officer at Titan Company. His appointment was announced in the month of February and he was supposed to take charge from R. Rajnarayan after this retirement on June 30, 2021.

L&T Infotech Veteran Ajay Tripathi Joins ReNew Power as CHRO

Ajay Tripathi has joined ReNew Power as Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to this, he was working with L&T Infotech as CHRO and Global Head of HR for over three years. Ajay comes with more than 27 years of experience spread across industries like steel, cement, media, banking, white goods, application services, automobile, contact centre, R&D, etc. Before joining L&T Infotech, Ajay has been associated with companies like Atos India, Dell, EY, Mercer, and Steel Authority of India (SAIL) in HR leadership roles. Ajay is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, he holds a Post Graduate Programme in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and did B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering & Material Sciences from (IIT), Kanpur.

CARS24 Appoints Mrinal Sinha as Chief Human Resources Officer

CARS24, an e-commerce platform for pre-owned autos (cars and bikes) appoints Mrinal Sinha as Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to this, he was working with Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance as SVP, Head -HR Business Partnering, Talent Management & ER. In his new role, Mrinal is responsible for the company’s entire gamut of culture and people agenda including leadership and cultural development, diversity, equity, and inclusion. An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Mrinal comes with two decades of experience in Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, and Leadership Development. He has worked across different geographies and roles over the last decades and handled large-scale projects.

Vinay Ranjan Joins Coal India as Director– Personnel & Industrial Relations

Coal India Limited has announced that Vinay Ranjan has taken over the charge as its Director- Personnel and Industrial Relations, effective from July 28, 2021. Prior to this, he was working as Director- Personnel at West Bengal-based Eastern Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of CIL for three years. Vinay is a seasoned HR professional with over 26 years of experience in the entire gamut of HR which includes talent acquisition, training and development, compensation management, CSR, and handling legal issues. He has also successfully extended HR support to overseas business entities at different geographies. Earlier, Ranjan headed the HR team of DB Power Ltd, the Dainik Bhaskar Group company, when it diversified into building two large thermal power plants.

ServiceNow Appoints a new Chief People Officer

ServiceNow, has announced the appointment of Jacqui Canney as new Chief People Officer. Canney joins ServiceNow from WPP, the global creative transformation company, where she served as Global Chief People Officer overseeing people, talent, rewards, recruiting and leadership development strategies for more than 100,000 employees. Prior to WPP, Canney was Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer, at Walmart Inc., one of the world’s largest private employers. Before joining Walmart, Canney was Senior Executive, Global Human Resources, at Accenture, where she built a 25-year career helping to support rapid growth from 21,000 people to more than 300,000.

MyGlamm Appoints Kartik Rao as Chief People Officer

MyGlamm, beauty products & cosmetic makeup items company appoints Kartik Rao as Chief People Officer. Prior to this, he was associated with Bewakoof.com as CHRO & Chief of Staff. In his new role, Kartik will be managing the people & culture vertical and set up robust HR practices across the organization. Kartik Rao has rich & extensive experience in Culture Design & Transformation, Talent Management, Spearheading Mergers & Acquisitions, & High-Velocity Talent Acquisition while working with large-scale MNCs & Fast Growing Consumer Tech & D2C Start-ups.

Uber Ropes-in Divya Garg as Head- HR, India and South Asia Region

Uber appoints Divya Garg as Head- HR for India and South Asia region. In her new role, She will work closely with India, South Asia leadership team to consolidate Uber’s growing presence in these strategic markets and build a diverse and inclusive work culture. Most recently, Divya was working with Accenture, where she consulted in the Talent and Organizational Consulting practice for many years. She is an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Appoints Sarma Chillara as Group Head- HR

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, a wholly-owned Indian subsidiary of German automotive manufacturing company Volkswagen Group has announced the elevation of Sarma Chillara as Group Head-HR & Administration. He replaces Executive Director HR & Admin, Jan Frydrych who will move to Skoda Headquarters. Earlier Sarma was working with Skoda Auto Volkswagen India as Head-HR & Admin. In his new role, he will be responsible for the entire gamut of People, Culture, Talent Management, and will lead HR strategies for the Group within the framework of the India 2.0 project. He will report to Gurpratap Boparai, Managing Director, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India.

Ge Healthcare Appoints Divya Srivastava as CHRO for South Asia

General Electric (GE) Healthcare has elevated Divya Srivastava as Chief Human Resources Officer for South Asia operations from her earlier role as total Rewards Global Processes Leader and Sales Compensation Strategy Leader at GE. Divya has over 14 years of experience in HR is spread across diverse roles & industries with extensive experience in Business partnering, Sales HR, Total Rewards, M&A/Divestiture and Change management. She joined GE in 2011 as a member of the global HR Leadership Programme (HRLP) and since then, has been associated with GE. Before joining GE, she was working with Hindustan Unilever for more than four years. Earlier, she has been associated with TCS as Assistant System Engineer Trainee for 1 year.

Ge South Asia Elevates Amaresh Singh As CHRO

Amaresh Singh has been elevated as CHRO, GE South Asia. He replaces Sheebu David who steps down to pursue her career outside GE. In his new role, he will be responsible for the entire gamut of People & Culture for GE South Asia. Additionally, he will also be responsible for the HR functions of GE Grid Solutions, South Asia, and GE Grid Solutions Technology. He has been associated with General Electric since 2015 after GE acquired Alstom Power and Grid business. Earlier he was working with Alstom as Country HR Head for India operations. He joined Alstom in 2004 and over the years has held various leadership roles in the company. Previously, Amraresh has also worked with the companies like BPL as Manager- HR and Escorts Ltd as IR Manager.

Swadesh Behera Takes Charge as Chief People Officer at Titan

On July 01, Swadesh Behera has taken charge as Chief People Officer at Titan Company. His appointment was announced in the month of February and he was supposed to take charge from R. Rajnarayan after this retirement on June 30, 2021. Prior to Titan, Swadesh was Senior Director – HR at Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC). He began his career with Coca-Cola as General Manager – HR, India, in December 1998. Swadesh holds an MA degree in Human Resources Management from TISS and an MA in Sociology from the University of Hyderabad.
