NetApp Elevates Pamela Hennard as Chief D&I Officer

NetApp, the intelligent data infrastructure company has elevated Pamela Hennard as its new Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer (CDIO), effective November 1, 2024.

This promotion comes as part of NetApp’s ongoing commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

George Kurian, CEO at NetApp, expressed his support for Pamela’s promotion, stating, “Pamela Hennard’s elevation to Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer reflects her visionary leadership, driving force, and steadfast commitment to embedding diversity into every layer of our business.”

Pamela herself expressed her honor in leading NetApp’s diversity journey.

She stated, “For NetApp, diversity is not just a goal—it’s the driving force behind innovation, creativity, and meaningful change,..”

Furthermore, Pamela added,”.. both within our organization and the communities we impact.”

In her new role, Pamela will lead NetApp’s efforts to embed diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.

Her strategic vision includes fostering these values within the talent acquisition process and throughout the full employee journey.

Inspired by her father’s struggles in finding employment after serving in the military, Pamela has developed recruitment and retention strategies.

These are tailored to veterans, women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities.

Leadership and Recognition

Pamela Hennard has been an integral part of NetApp’s success, serving as the Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition.

With over 27 years of experience in human resources, Pamela has developed and led high-performing teams.

Aligning recruitment and onboarding objectives with diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives is her expertise.

Pamela’s dedication to diversity and inclusion has earned her recognition within the industry.

Notably, in 2021, she was honored as the TA Professional of the Year by OnConferences.

Additionally, in 2024, she received the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award for her extensive contributions to non-profit organizations.
