Rachna Kumar Joins TVS Motor as Vice President – HR

In a significant move within the automotive industry, Rachna Kumar has been appointed as Vice President – Human Resources at TVS Motor Company.

Rachna brings over two decades of experience in human resources across diverse sectors.

Her appointment is anticipated to bolster TVS Motor’s HR strategies and enhance its organizational culture.

She will report directly to Anandakrishnan R, Group Head of HR at TVS Motor.

Responsibilities at TVS Motor

As Vice President – Human Resources, Rachna will take charge of TVS Motor’s talent agenda.

Her responsibilities will include driving employee engagement, fostering leadership development, and enhancing organizational culture.

Her strategic orientation and extensive experience in HR leadership demonstrate her capabilities.

These attributes are expected to align with TVS Motor’s goals of innovation, global outreach, and people-led growth.

Her role will also involve supporting the company’s transition towards electric vehicles (EVs) and other future mobility solutions.

Professional Journey and Educational Qualification

Rachna Kumar’s illustrious career spans 24 years, during which she has held leadership roles in several renowned organizations.

Before joining TVS Motor, she held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Hero MotoCorp.

During her tenure, she led transformative HR initiatives that aligned with the company’s vision for future mobility.

Her tenure at Hero MotoCorp, however, was brief, lasting just over a year.

Before joining Hero MotoCorp, Rachna spent more than seven years at Whirlpool Corporation.

During her tenure, she advanced to the role of Head – Human Resources, Asia.

In this role, she was instrumental in driving regional HR strategies across multiple countries, including India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and Taiwan.

Her earlier career includes key HR roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Tata Trent, Castrol, Philips, and Amul, showcasing her versatility and cross-sectoral expertise.

Rachna Kumar earned a degree in science from GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology.

She also holds a management degree from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA).

She has also completed an Organization Development Certification Programme from the Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Science, further enriching her expertise in HR practices.
