Siemens Elevates Harish Shekar to CFO of Energy Business

Siemens Ltd has announced the appointment of Harish Shekar as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of its energy business, effective January 1, 2025.

Harish brings over 27 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, and audit.

He has been head of accounting and controlling of Siemens Ltd, India since 2018.

Leadership Transition and New Appointments at Siemens

In addition to Harish’s appointment, Siemens has also announced that Vineet Rastogi will take over as the head of accounting and controlling of the company, effective January 1, 2025.

Vineet is currently the CFO of company’s energy business and has cultivated a rich and diverse professional background over the past 30 years.

He has worked with Big 4 firms across India and the UK, gaining foundational technical and soft skills.

The company further announced that Kairav Modi will cease to be CFO of digital industries business with effect from February 1, 2025, as he will be taking up a new role within Siemens overseas.

Sapna Rawat has been appointed as CFO of Digital Industries business, effective February 1, 2025.

Sapna, a chartered accountant, brings over 20 years of diverse experience across South Asia, Africa, ASEAN, and Europe.

Extensive Experience and Expertise

Before his current role, Harish held the position of head of shareholder controlling at Siemens AG, Germany, and was also responsible for Asia and Middle East as Country CFO of Egypt.

His responsibilities included additional oversight as the energy sector controller.

Harish’s expertise spans across various senior management positions in India and abroad, making him a seasoned professional in the field.

Harish joined Siemens in 1997, bringing with him a wealth of experience from a leading financial services company.

Over the years, he has held several senior management positions, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and success.

His roles have included corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, and audit, showcasing his versatile skill set.
