TCS appoints Kunal Mehta as Program Director

India’s largest IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) appoints Kunal Mehta as Program Director. In his new role, he will be working with retail clients on their IT strategies, IT frameworks, and solutions.

Prior to this, Kunal was working as Group CTO with Fabindia Overseas Private Limited where he was responsible for implementing an IT Roadmap including the IT framework for Enterprise as well as Digital and Omni-channel.

Kunal comes with over 21 years of experience in the Retail and Manufacturing sector across a wide range of organizations in leadership roles, primarily responsible for Enterprise IT Operations, digital transformation, and IT Strategy.

Previously, he has worked with companies like Raymond Limited, Reliance Retail, and Johnson & Johnson.

Commenting on his new role Kunal said, “It is a wonderful opportunity to work with an organization like TCS. I decided to step out of my comfort zone after having been in the CIO role for more than a decade. The current role gives me the opportunity to grow further and work closely with technology leaders and partners. I’m excited to be on the other side of the table.”

A part of the Tata Group, the IT services giant TCS has over 500,000 trained consultants in 46 countries. The company generated consolidated revenues of $22.2 billion in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2021.
