UBS elevates Meena Kothari as Head- HR, India

UBS has elevated Meena Kothari as Head – Human Resources, India. In her new role, Meena will lead the overall HR strategy and people agenda for UBS India, strengthening its talent development, employee experience, and organizational culture.

Her promotion comes after a successful tenure as Head – Employee Relations at UBS, a role she has held since joining the firm in December 2024.

Extensive HR Leadership Across Global Financial Institutions

Meena brings over two decades of rich HR experience across leading financial institutions.

Prior to joining UBS, she served as Director and Country Head – HR, India at Credit Suisse, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy during a period of organizational transformation.

She has also held HR leadership roles at Rabobank, RBS, Karvy Private Wealth, and Karvy Capital.

Her diverse portfolio spans employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and strategic HR partnerships, making her a seasoned leader in the financial services industry.

Academic Excellence and Legal Acumen

Meena’s educational background is equally impressive. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Government Law College, Mumbai, which adds a unique dimension to her HR approach, particularly in areas such as employee relations and compliance.

She also holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Middlesex University, equipping her with a robust foundation in business and people strategy.

With her legal and strategic expertise, Meena is well-positioned to drive UBS’s HR vision in India, fostering a high-performance and inclusive workplace.

UBS India is a key part of UBS Group AG, a global financial services firm headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

With offices in Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad, UBS India plays a strategic role in supporting the bank’s global operations across wealth management, investment banking, asset management, and shared services.
