Wipro rejigs global leadership team in this year

IT giant Wipro has witnessed the exit of several senior-level people and joining the top leadership after restructuring under the new CEO Thierry Delaporte. Here you go with the appointments of global top leadership in 2021 till now.

In the month of January 2021, Wipro appoints Douglas Silva as Country Head for Brazil. Douglas has more than two decades of experience in the IT industry and has played key roles in spearheading client transformations across various sectors. Prior to joining Wipro, Douglas was the Head of Financial Services Industry in Latin America and Enterprise Sales Director for Brazil for Amazon Web Services (AWS). Douglas has also held senior positions with SAP, Capgemini, and TCS during his career.

Douglas reports to Mukund Seetharaman, Managing Director, Latin America. The company has built its local presence across the region significantly by hiring a strong and diverse local workforce, acquiring local companies, and establishing offices in key economic hubs.

In February 2021, Wipro Limited announced the appointment of Michael Seiger as the Country Head and Managing Director for Germany and Austria. Prior to joining Wipro, Seiger was the Global Head of Application Management at Atos SE where he led the modernization of the organization’s portfolio and oversaw the Business & Platform Solution division’s Deal Solution Group.

Seiger has held several leadership roles with Accenture and the Bertelsmann Group. With over 25 years of experience in the IT service industry, he has a successful track record in sales, service delivery, and innovation across many verticals and geographies. In his new role, Seiger will work to expand the reach of Wipro by leveraging its engineering expertise, advanced HOLMES AI platform, and Topcoder freelancer service to meet emerging demand in Germany and Austria.

In the same month of February Wipro announced the appointment of Tomoaki Takeuchi as the Country Head & Managing Director for Japan. Takeuchi-san is a seasoned technology and operations professional with more than three decades of experience. He will enhance Wipro’s focus in Japan with an emphasis on exponential growth, large deals and significant transformational engagements.

Prior to joining Wipro, Tomoaki headed the Japan operations for Cognizant. He previously held leadership positions at EDS, Sun Microsystems, and Apple in Japan and has a successful track record in business development and service delivery. He holds a graduate degree in commercial science from KEIO University, Tokyo. 

Recently on February 24, 2021, Wipro announced the appointment of René Mulder as Country Head and Managing Director, Switzerland. He has proven experience in leading large organizations and has a successful track record of driving growth, building profitable businesses, and creating sustainable and successful relationships with customers, partners, and local authorities. He will leverage his broad experience to guide Wipro’s clients through their digital transformation journeys.

Prior to joining Wipro, René served in leadership roles with Siemens, Swisscom, T-Systems and DXC Technology in Switzerland as well as in countries like Germany, The Netherlands, Poland and the Czech Republic. He holds a postgraduate degree in General Management from the University of Sankt Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.

Switzerland is an important market for Wipro, with a solid customer base and growing demand for digital transformation as companies expand their offerings.

On the same day February 24, 2021, Wipro announced the appointment of Graziella Neuvéglise as Regional Head & Managing Director, Southern Europe. Graziella will oversee operations in France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Prior to joining Wipro, Graziella served in leadership roles with CGI, Accenture & Capgemini.

She is a leader with proven experience in driving transformation and creating profitable, sustainable, agile, and growing organizations that operate with best-in-class standards. Graziella has a successful track record in guiding digital transformations that makes her well-positioned to lead Wipro’s business in this region.

In the month of March Wipro announced the appointment of Philippe Dintrans as Senior Vice President and Head, Domain & Consulting, of Wipro’s iDEAS (Integrated Digital, Engineering, and Application Services) business.

Philippe joins Wipro from Cognizant Technology Solutions where he was the Industries Consulting Leader. He has also held key leadership roles in McKinsey, Booz Allen & Hamilton, and Morgan Stanley. Philippe will be based in Boston and report to Rajan Kohli, President, Wipro iDEAS.

Most recently on March 10, 2021- Wipro has announced the appointment of Pierre Bruno as Chief Executive Officer, Europe. In this role, Bruno will lead Wipro’s business in six distinct regions across Europe. This appointment, a bold indication of the company’s continued investment and focus on the European market, builds on Wipro’s momentum across the region in recent years.

Bruno joins Wipro from DXC Technology where he was Vice President and Managing Director of Southern Europe, responsible for all lines of business, including consulting, integration, apps, cloud and cyber security. Bruno also worked with Dell for 14 years in several roles across Asia Pacific, Japan, and EMEA.
