An Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company, Bajaj Auto rejigs its top leadership team with new key appointments.

Bajaj Auto has announced the appointment of Abraham Joseph as Managing Director of Chetak Technology. Moreover, the company has also appointed Ramtilak Ananthan as the Chief Technology Officer of Bajaj Auto Ltd.

Abraham leveraging extensive expertise in technology leadership, is poised to steer Chetak Technology to prominence. His track record underscores his capacity to propel innovation and transformation within the dynamic EV sector.

Equipped with a wealth of experience, he stands ready to lead Chetak and its team toward sustained disruption and pioneering advancements. Under his guidance, Chetak aims to solidify its position as a frontrunner, continuously challenging boundaries and reshaping the landscape of electric mobility.

Over the last six years, he has spearheaded the inception and expansion of the EV R&D entity, Chetak Technology R&D, showcasing his prowess in building and nurturing technological ventures from inception to fruition within the automotive domain.

Joining Bajaj Auto in July ’89 as a Graduate Trainee Engineer, Abraham embarked on a journey marked by notable achievements. He graduated with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal.

Ramtilak initiated his tenure at Bajaj Auto in 1994. By 2013, he ascended to Vice President – R&D, where he assumed responsibility for overseeing Commercial Vehicle CAE & Vehicle Testing, as well as 2Wh CAE & Testing.

This progression underscores his tenure marked by steady advancement within the organization, showcasing his ability to navigate and excel in diverse realms of automotive research and development.

He holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, USA.
