
PepsiCo names ex-Tesco CEO Dave Lewis to board
PepsiCo Inc. has named former Chief Executive of the U.K.’s largest retailer Tesco, Dave Lewis, as an independent member of the board.Â
New York-based PepsiCo said Lewis, 55, will join the board effective Nov. 13, and will be a member of the audit committee.
Lewis served as Tesco’s CEO from 2014-2020. Before Tesco, Lewis worked at U.K.-based consumer goods company Unilever for almost three decades. He was president of its Unilever’s personal care division, president of its Americas unit and chairman of United Kingdom and Ireland. He also held a variety of leadership roles in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Lewis currently is chair of the board of trustees for World Wildlife Fund-UK and previously was chair of Champions 12.3, an organization focused on the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals target of halving global food waste by 2030.
PepsiCo’s portfolio of 23 brands including Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Quaker and Tropicana.
