The Former Head- Human Resources of Carl ZEISS India, Sudipto Mandal joins Star Cement Ltd, a listed company and part of a billion-dollar conglomerate – Century Plyboard (I) Limited as Vice President and CHRO – HR & Admin.
In his new role, Sudipto is a member of the Leadership Team and reporting to the CEO. He will head the entire Human Resources, IR and Admin function of Star Cement, and he will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategy towards building a future-ready organization and in maintaining its market leadership in the region.
At Start Cement, he will lead an HR team of over 40 for overall employee strength of 3000 across 3 plants, corporate and branch offices. Providing thought leadership, support, and counsel to senior leadership in building organizational and talent capability, culture building and business transformation.
Prior to joining Star Cement, Sudipto Mandal worked with companies like Carl ZEISS India Pvt. Ltd, Spencer’s Retail Ltd, Eveready Industries India Ltd, Oracle, BEA Systems, and Asian Paints Ltd.
Sudipto is Post Graduate (PMIR 1998) from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) and has over 20 years of industry experience encompassing the entire gamut of core functional HR (Generalist and Specialist) and techno-functional Oracle HRMS consultancy.
