A leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator, GE HealthCare has announced the appointment of Adam Holton as the new Chief People Officer (CPO). In this role, he will lead the company’s Human Resources (HR) organization.
“Adam has the right mix of leadership, HR expertise, and people focus to help enable business growth and drive our culture forward,” said Peter Arduini, GE HealthCare Chief Executive Officer.
“His experience leading HR teams spans a variety of global companies and industries, including healthcare, and it will help us further serve our people, patients, and customers”, Peter Arduini added.

Holton has more than 20 years of HR leadership experience across global companies, including previously at General Electric (GE) and GE Healthcare when it was a business unit of GE.
He joins GE HealthCare most recently from Amedisys, where he led the design and execution of people strategies as Chief People Officer for the 19,000-employee home health company.
Prior to that role, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Numotion, a provider of complex rehab technology; Senior Vice President of Human Resources at USAA, a financial services company; and CHRO at CHS Inc., a Fortune-100 agricultural service cooperative.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade in multiple HR leadership and organizational design leadership roles at GE Healthcare and GE. Holton is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in political sciences from the United States Naval Academy.
