Amaresh Singh has been elevated as Chief Human Resources Officer, GE South Asia. He replaces Sheebu David who steps down to pursue her career outside GE.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the entire gamut of People & Culture for GE South Asia. Additionally, he will also be responsible for the HR functions of GE Grid Solutions, South Asia, and GE Grid Solutions Technology.
Amraresh is a renowned HR leader with over two and half decades of HR experience, 10 years in HR Leadership roles driving Strategic Human Resource Planning, Building / Transforming Organisations, High Performing Talent Management, Change Management, and Re-engineering, Leadership Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Development, Performance, and Retention Compensation Programs, Industrial Relations, Merger and Acquisitions and, etc.
He has been associated with General Electric since 2015 after GE acquired Alstom Power and Grid business. Earlier he was working with Alstom as Country HR Head for India operations. He joined Alstom in 2004 and over the years has held various leadership roles in the company.
Previously, Amraresh has also worked with the companies like BPL as Manager- HR and Escorts Ltd as IR Manager.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Law and, a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Allahabad.
