After Delhi, Noida also imposes night curfew amid rising Covid-19 cases
The Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration has imposed a night curfew in Noida from 10.00 pm to 5.00 am from Thursday, April 8 night till April 17 amid rising Covid-19 cases in the city. The order, undersigned by District Collector and Magistrate Suhad L Y.
The night curfew comes days after Delhi took similar measures to curb the COVID-19 surge in the national capital.

In the same way, the Ghaziabad district administration has also announced night curfew from 10.00 pm to 5.00 am from starting tonight. However, essential goods and essential medical services will be allowed uninterrupted movement.
All government, private educational institutes except medical paramedical and nursing including coaching institutes shall be barred from holding physical classes till April 17. However, all exams including practicals shall be held as per the schedule and are exempted from the curfew order.
Ten states including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Kerala, and Punjab have shown a steep rise in the daily COVID-19 cases accounting for 84.21 per cent of the 1,26,789 new infections, the health ministry said on Thursday.
Many states including Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra have imposed weekend lockdowns or restictions in public areas to limit the spread of COVID 19.
Noida recorded 125 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, taking the district’s tally to 26,697. The active cases rose to 652. A total of 49 more patients recuperated, taking the number of recoveries to 25,952.
Gautam Buddh Nagar currently has a death toll of 93 with a mortality rate of 0.34 per cent. The recovery rate of patients reached 97.20 per cent.
