OYO, Hetero Labs, and Cure.fit to cover Covid-19 vaccination cost for employees and family members

Hospitality firm OYO has announced that it will cover Covid-19 vaccination cost for all its employees and their family members in India.

The employees and their family members in India can choose to get the vaccination done at any centre, convenient to them and the costs would be reimbursed in full by the company, OYO said in a statement.

The company has also enhanced the insurance benefit of employees to include a Covid-19 home care cover, it added.

“As part of our commitment to keep our employees and their families safe and show our gratitude to them, we are happy to facilitate the cost of their Covid-19 vaccinations,” OYO Hotels and Homes chief human resources officer Dinesh Ramamurthi said.

Hetero Labs, one of India’s leading generic pharmaceutical companies and the world’s largest producer of anti-retroviral drugs for the treatment of HIV/AIDS has announced yesterday that the company will bear the cost of COVID-19 vaccination for employees and their family members.

S V Jayapal Reddy, Sr GM-HR, Hetero Labs Limited said, “We have started vaccination across all our units for the employees who have completed 45 years of age and their dependants on free of cost. We produce drugs to the nation and it comes under essential services, we are also planning to get permission from the government to complete vaccination for all our 25000 employees.”

In response to the global pandemic that is still going on, Cure.fit – India’s leading health and fitness platform – will be sponsoring COVID-19 vaccinations for all its employees and trainers.

As soon as the availability of the COVID vaccine is announced, Cure.fit will start deploying them to its entire network. This initiative will be extended to all employees across the country as many are still working from home. Trainers, whose roles are primarily customer-facing, will also be offered vaccines. The company aims to have everyone under this initiative vaccinated in two months.

Commenting on this, Sachin Kotangale, Leadership Team, Cure.fit, said: “The health and well-being of our teams is of paramount importance to us, more so because we operate in a contact-heavy customer-facing industry. Our employees have given us a lot in the last year despite facing difficult circumstances. We have tried our best to support everyone since the beginning of the pandemic and will continue to do so. With this decision to provide vaccinations to all our employees, we will continue to offer assistance wherever possible and remain committed to the health and well-being of the entire Cure.fit team.”
