Mega Job Fair in Bharatpur: Over 2,400 Youth Secure Employment

Over 2,400 young individuals secured job offers at the Bharatpur Kaushal Mahotsav, a mega job fair organized by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).

The event, held in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, saw an overwhelming response from both job seekers and employers, marking a milestone in the region’s employment landscape.

Event Overview, Job Offers and Salary Packages

The Bharatpur Kaushal Mahotsav, held on November 19, 2024, aimed to bridge the gap between young job seekers and companies offering employment opportunities.

The fair featured more than 70 industry leaders, including e-commerce giants Flipkart and Zepto, global food chain Burger King, and premium dining brand Barbeque Nation, collectively bringing over 20,000 job opportunities to the event.

The diverse range of positions offered at the fair included competitive salary packages ranging from ₹19,000 to ₹35,000 per month.

This significant boost to local employment prospects was a major highlight of the event.

It is providing young individuals with promising career opportunities across various sectors.

These include sectors such as tourism, hospitality, logistics, food processing, IT-ITES, automotive, BFSI, and electronics.

Minister’s Address and Job Readiness Program

Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for MSDE, presided over the event. He personally handed over job offer letters to the successful candidates.

He emphasized the importance of community involvement in effectively implementing skill development plans in Bharatpur and highlighted the collaborative efforts of NSDC and MSDE to attract pro-industry policies through state investment summits.

In preparation for the fair, more than 3,500 youth from Bharatpur registered on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) and underwent a five-day intensive job-readiness program.

This program included training on soft skills and role-specific capabilities such as assembly line operations and customer care.

The training culminated in the mega recruitment fair, where over 3,000 youth appeared for walk-in interviews.

Impact on Local Economy

The successful conclusion of the Bharatpur Kaushal Mahotsav is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy.

By connecting local talent with potential employers, the event fosters economic growth in the region. It positions Bharatpur as a hub for skilled workforce development.

The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant and skill-driven India.

The Bharatpur Kaushal Mahotsav has set a precedent for future job fairs.

It demonstrates the potential of such initiatives to transform the employment landscape in India.

With over 2,400 youth securing jobs and many more gaining valuable skills and experience, the event is a significant step towards economic growth in the region.

It also marks a move towards sustainable development.
