Massive opportunities for youth, Apprenticeship Fair in 25 states and UTs

A wide range of job opportunities is coming on the way for the youth of India. Government-backed apprenticeship fair is to be held in 197 districts across 25 states and union territories

In support of the Skill India Mission, the government is arranging a fair wherein employers can hire skilled workers and supervisors. Various domains include nursing, telecom promoters, stock managers, tooling industries, construction, accommodation, and many others.

The Government of India strives to train and prepare 1 million youth per annum through Apprenticeship Training. Apprenticeship is one of the most sustainable ways to enhance the skilled workforce in any country. India is on the pathway to the same upliftment.

Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela has been arranged. The government is facilitating 197 districts to hold this fair so that workers and skilled laborers can meet relevant employers. Skilled workers contribute to a major part of the Indian economic landscape. It is highly important to provide the local youth with working opportunities.

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said in a statement “The event will witness the participation of various companies from different sectors.” It is also beneficial for small and medium-sized employers as they will have an opportunity to choose applicants on the spot. It also makes them fill vacancies in their respective workplaces.

Participating youth will get National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) certificate that would help the certified skilled workers to improve their visibility and employability.

For being eligible to participate in the mela, youth must possess the following achievements

  • Candidates having passed class 5-12th
  • Candidates have completed technical skill training and have specified skill training certificates
  • ITI diploma holders or graduates may also apply for this mela
