The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) offers various internship and student project trainee opportunities.

1. Internship Scheme
Eligibility & Duration
This internship is open to Indian citizens pursuing UG, PG, or PhD degrees in Science or Technology from recognized universities in India or abroad. Students who have completed their course within the last six months are also eligible to apply.
Duration: Maximum 45 days
Academic Requirement: Minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale
Internship assignments depend on project availability, expertise, and resource constraints at the respective ISRO center.
2. Student Project Trainee Scheme
This scheme is for students seeking academic project work at ISRO centers. The eligibility criteria vary based on the student’s degree level.

General Guidelines
- Application Lead Time: It’s advisable to submit applications at least 30 to 45 days before the intended start date of the internship.
- Application Deadlines: Some centers have specific deadlines, such as March 31 for internships starting between May and July, and August 31 for those starting between October and December.
Additional Information
Selection depends on available expertise, projects, and facilities at the respective ISRO center. Applications are reviewed and approved by ISRO centers based on internal selection criteria.
No stipend, salary, or financial support is provided for interns or project trainees. ISRO does not provide accommodation, but some centers may offer guest house or hostel facilities at applicable employee rates.
Interns and project trainees can only access non-classified areas of ISRO facilities. Any research or reports based on ISRO work must receive clearance before publication.
Certificates are awarded upon successful completion and submission of the assignment report, which must be approved by the division head.
