SBI Paid Internship 2025: Youth for India Fellowship Programme

The State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting applications for its Youth for India Fellowship Programme 2025-26.

A 13-month paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in key areas such as education, healthcare, and rural development.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must hold a graduation degree by October 1, 2025.
  • Age requirement: 21 to 32 years.
  • Open to Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and citizens of Nepal/Bhutan.

Internship Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

✅ Monthly stipend of ₹16,000
✅ Project funding and travel allowance
✅ Readjustment allowance upon completion
✅ Health insurance and housing assistance
✅ Completion certificate

Programme Overview

The fellowship immerses participants in rural communities, enabling them to work closely with NGOs, local governance bodies, and community members to address pressing rural development challenges.

It fosters leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of grassroots issues.

“The Fellowship builds young leaders who undergo a transformative journey by learning from the challenges of rural India. These leaders collaborate with NGO partners, local government, and the community to develop and sustain grassroots-level initiatives,” states the official notice.

🔹 Step 2: Complete and submit the online application form.
🔹 Step 3: Pay the application fee and upload the necessary documents.
🔹 Step 4: Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Selection Process

This is a unique opportunity for aspiring change-makers to make a real difference in rural India while gaining valuable professional experience.

  • Online Assessment: After filling out the registration form, candidates must complete an online assessment where they will be asked to share their story, perspectives, intention to join the Fellowship and overall worldview.
  • Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview to assess their suitability for the programme.
  • Final Selection: Selection is based on performance in the online assessment, personal interview, and overall suitability for the Fellowship.
  • Offer & Acceptance: Selected candidates will receive an offer letter and must confirm their acceptance within a stipulated timeframe.
  • Orientation & Fellowship Start: Upon accepting the offer, candidates must attend an orientation programme before officially joining the Fellowship on the date specified by SBI.
