TCS iON, a strategic unit of Tata Consultancy Services, National Qualifier Test (NQT) is an excellent opportunity for freshers and experienced candidates to showcase their skills to top corporates.
This test helps candidates prove their competencies in various domains, including aptitude skills, domain-specific skills, and work values. The tests are conducted every 2-4 weeks at TCS iON-authorized exam centers.

Who Can Apply
TCS iON NQT is open to a wide range of candidates:
- Pre-final or Final Year Students: Students from any stream or degree who are nearing the end of their academic journey.

Test Format and Scheduling
NQT is designed to assess a candidate’s abilities and skills through a comprehensive Ability Test. The test evaluates cognitive skills and other competencies relevant to various industries and job roles.
Candidates are awarded NQT Score, which is applicable across different sectors. The test is administered in English, and there is no negative marking.
Candidates can take the test at authorized TCS iON Exam Centres and may retake the test to improve their scores if desired.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is targeting to enroll a comparable number of new graduates in FY25 as it did in FY24, around 40,000.
TCS added a net of 5,726 employees in Q2, bringing its total workforce to 612,724. This marks a total headcount increase of approximately 11,000 for the first half of FY25.
The attrition rate rises to 12.3% from 12.1% in the previous quarter. The company’s focus on strategic hiring continues amidst growth in AI-driven projects and new deal executions.
