US based, Altair to expand India team upto 1,000 employees

Altair, headquartered in the US, aims to grow its India team to 1,000 employees by the end of this year 2024.

Altair, a global technology firm, provides software and cloud solutions in simulation, high-performance computing, data analytics, and AI. With 27 offices worldwide and 3,200 employees, India hosts 840 employees in five cities, ranking second in the company’s workforce outside the US.

On Tuesday, Altair expanded its Chennai operations, inaugurating a new facility accommodating over 100 employees, with a $1 million investment.

Vishwanath Rao, Altair India’s MD, stated India ranks among its top three markets, alongside the US and Germany. “We have 1,500 clients in the country, with our customer base growing by an average of 50-60 annually,” he added.

Vishwanath Rao added that automotive, electronics, construction, consumer devices, and AI are among the top five sectors for the company.
