Since Covid-19 has taken the edge off, organizations are returning to conventional working patterns. IT and Tech companies want their employees back to office and have started calling back them 2-3 days a week to offices.
To encourage employees and facilitate them, companies are also starting smaller offices in cities where they have larger ones to accommodate employees who are hesitant to go back to the main office after Covid.
Recently, Accenture has launched new centers in Jaipur, Coimbatore, and Indore and Persistent Systems also started smaller offices in Pune and Bengaluru.

Accenture has launched new centers in Jaipur, Coimbatore, and Indore and has told employees that they could work from these cities at their convenience.
In cities like Bengaluru, commutation time during peak office hours is also a challenge and therefore employees are hesitant to return to their offices.
Commenting on this, the company told, “For us, at Accenture, the future of work is about creating omni-connected experiences for our people and to help them feel connected and included, irrespective of where they work from.”
“We offer our people a healthy balance between the flexibility they need and the in-person connection time that is vital, both to their professional development and growth and to the success of our client relationships.” The company added in a statement.
The company further added, “Accordingly, earlier this year, we set up our operations in Jaipur, Indore and Coimbatore to provide our people with options that fulfil both these needs. The new locations are also helping strengthen and grow our rich and diverse talent base.”
“Accenture is not setting one date for everyone to return to office.” The company added.
The company also said that when and where employees work will vary by business, team, and type of work.
Persistent Systems highlights
IT firm Persistent Systems also opens smaller offices to lure its employees back to office culture. The firm already has big facilities in various cities but to make it convenient for employees and reduce their travel time, Persistent Systems opens small offices in Pune and Bengaluru accommodating 200 employees.
This step is a remedy to reduce the reluctance of employees to join their offices back in big cities as the commutation hampers the work-life balance of employees.
Employees get stuck in heavy traffic in the conventional working structure and therefore they are not very willing to join back. Further, the Covid phase also embraced a sense of comfort in employees towards work-from-home and it is becoming challenging for organizations to break that inclination.
