Cognizant invites applications for freshers & experienced people hiring

Cognizant, an American multinational technology company that provides business consulting, information technology, and outsourcing services invites applications for freshers & experienced people hiring in India.

The company had said earlier while announcing its q2 results for the quarter ending on June 30 that the company will onboard approximately 30,000 new graduates in 2021 and make 45,000 offers to new graduates in India for 2022.

Cognizant had also announced to hire about one lakh lateral employees in this fiscal year. The hiring plans come in the backdrop of an improved business environment. 

Currently, the US-based IT company has a total headcount of over 3,00,000, and the majority of its employees are working in India.

The company has stepped up its hiring efforts in the country and expects the number of new recruits in the March quarter to be “more than ever before”.

Cognizant Commits to Net Zero Emissions by 2030- The company has announced it will achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, a new milestone set out as part of the company’s ongoing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda to become a more sustainable business.

“Climate change is widespread, rapid, and intensifying,” said Brian Humphries, Chief Executive Officer at Cognizant.

“As a global company, we take seriously our responsibility to leverage our expertise and resources to help address climate change. I am proud to announce that Cognizant commits to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030,” said Humphries

“We will also extend our expertise in cloud, IoT, and AI to help our Global 2000 clients meet their sustainability goals, reduce their carbon footprints and sharpen their competitiveness.” He added.

“We designed Cognizant’s net-zero roadmap to marshal the global resources of a Fortune 200 technology services company to help accelerate the world’s movement to a low-carbon economy,” said Sophia Mendelsohn, Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of ESG at Cognizant.

“Through our goal, we will strengthen the demand for renewable energy and energy-efficient technology.” Sophia added.

Cognizant’s commitment to net-zero calls for reducing emissions by 50 percent from the company’s global operations and supply chain by 2030, and by 90 percent by 2040. Remaining emissions will be negated with carbon offsets.

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation Q3 Results for FY22- The company is expected to report earnings on 10/27/2021 after market close. The report will be for the fiscal Quarter ending Sep 2021.
