Dabur India chairman Amit Burman resigns

Packaged goods company, Dabur India Ltd has announced that Amit Burman has resigned as chairman of the company, effective August 10, 2022.

Though, He will continue as Non-Executive Director.

Dabur India did not specify the reasons for Amit Burman’s resignation. The company disclosed this information in a regulatory filing on Friday when it held its 47th annual shareholders’ meeting.

“We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors have on 11th August, 2022, approved following changes in the position of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the company. 1. Acceptance of resignation of Mr. Amit Burman from the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from the close of working hours of August 10, 2022,” Dabur announced in an exchange filing.

The vice-chairman Mohit Burman took over the new role. Mohit, the former non-executive vice-chairman of Dabur India, has been appointed as the non-executive chairman for five years from 11 August.

Amit Burman took charge as the chairman of Dabur India Ltd in 2019. He will be continuing to serve as a non-executive director of the company. The company also named Saket Burman as the non-executive vice-chairman for five years.

The company is among the Top 5 FMCG Companies in India with Revenues of over Rs 10,800 Crore & Market Capitalisation of about Rs 100,000 Crore.
