Delhivery all-women workforce Delhivery’s Moga hub in Punjab

Ahead of International Women’s Day, Delhivery, India’s largest integrated logistics service provider, has entrusted its Moga hub in Punjab to an all-women workforce, underscoring the company’s inclusive values.

Moga is a vital center of Delhivery operations in Punjab. With the new announcement, end-to-end hub operations will be orchestrated by an all-women workforce, including

Battery-operated pallet trucks (BOPT) are being used for operations such as inventory management, truck loading/unloading at the facility.

To ensure round-the-clock support, female-only housekeeping and security staff have been hired. These young women recruits, aged 18-30 years, have undergone specialized training on various processes, shipment handling, key metrics, and Delhivery systems to equip them for success in their new positions.

The women operating across 3 shifts reside within a 6-9 km radius of the facility and are well supported through reliable transportation connectivity provided by the company.

Suraj Saharan, Chief People Officer and Co-Founder at Delhivery, commented, “We value diversity and are continuously striving to onboard more women colleagues across operations and corporate roles. Our women workforce strength has grown 5 times over 3 years across all our operations facilities.”

“Before Delhivery, our new joiners at Moga were working in unorganized set-ups. Their transition to the formal logistics sector ensures a steady income and makes them eligible for social security benefits such as PF and ESIC.”

“Punjab is an enterprising state, and its women too, are highly self-motivated and aspirational. Through our interactions with the women staff, we were pleased to know that they harbor big growth ambitions.,” he added.

He further said, “We are determined to enable them to achieve their professional and personal milestones through our training and mentorship programs in a safe, inclusive work culture.”

The company will continue to open all women’s operations facilities, with the next two being in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
