Sudarshan Poondi, Partner and TMT Industry Leader, Deloitte India, highlighted what will make up for a resilient #India in the upcoming years.
He further shared insights on #India’s burgeoning #semiconductor market, saying, “The ambitious proposal from the Government of India (GOI) regarding the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) and Design Linked Incentive (DLI) package is expected to attract #investments and establish India as a centre for semiconductor #manufacturing.”
“We anticipate market and portfolio, manufacturing, R&D, and talent as the dimensions for growth prospects by 2026”, he added.
With rising inflation and interest rates, slowing economies, and plunging consumer confidence have dominated discourses this year. The ripples they generated have heavily influenced the theme for TMT Predictions 2023. Amidst strong global headwinds on the economic front, India is set to emerge as a major player in the 5G revolution, semiconductor and chip technology, live sports, and AVOD with private deployment networks likely to take off in a big way during 2025-2028 period, according to Deloitte’s 2023 TMT (Technology, Media, and Entertainment, Telecom) predictions.
The company has also announced the completion of a pilot project to help address the issue of stubble burning in North India. Additionally, The organisation is planning to continue to invest in people and productive capacities in India.
