Deloitte opened a new office in Lucknow, marking a significant economic boost for Uttar Pradesh, one of India’s largest states.
This milestone makes Deloitte the first among the “Big Four” professional services firms to establish a presence in the “City of Nawabs.” The move reflects Deloitte’s commitment to supporting Uttar Pradesh’s ambition of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
A year prior, Deloitte had inaugurated an office in Noida, further solidifying its commitment to the state’s growth. With this new addition, Deloitte India now operates 19 offices across 14 locations nationwide.
Strategic Location and Services
Situated in the Central Business District at Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, the new Lucknow office spans 12,800 square feet and can accommodate over 120 professionals.
It will focus on key service areas such as IT consulting, public sector advisory, tax and compliance, and digital transformation.
Deloitte South Asia CEO Romal Shetty highlighted the state’s potential during the launch. He said that Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a global testing hub, a rapidly growing center for electronics manufacturing, and a potential semiconductor hub.
He emphasized that the state offers numerous opportunities for both companies and professionals.
Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities form a crucial part of Deloitte’s strategy, as they are expected to drive the next wave of growth and innovation. The new office aims to create between 800 and 1,000 direct and indirect job opportunities in its first phase.
Deloitte also plans to collaborate closely with local training centers and educational institutions to build a skilled workforce, reflecting its long-term commitment to regional development.
Commitment to Sustainable Growth
Deloitte’s new Lucknow office is designed with sustainability in mind, adhering to green building standards that include waste management, renewable energy integration, and energy-efficient technologies.
The expansion underscores the company’s commitment to partnering with the government and the industrial sector, further establishing Uttar Pradesh as a key driver of India’s economic progress.
In a social media statement, Deloitte emphasized that its expansion aligns with its mission to empower communities and support national development.
The company’s continued focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities reflects its strategic approach to fostering growth beyond traditional metropolitan areas.
