This week Deloitte will welcome over 1,700 new people to its award-winning graduate, BrightStart apprenticeship and Industrial Placement programmes in a blended in-person and virtual induction in 16 locations across the UK*.
The graduate programme ranked number four in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employer and is ranked in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list.
New joiners will take part in a two-day virtual or in-person induction programme during their first week, which will include skills sessions in areas such as building confidence, mindset and networking. In their second week they will attend face-to-face inductions to get to know their business area.
Deloitte’s early careers programmes offer technical training opportunities and professional qualifications, with a 50:50 blend of online and in-person learning. In July, the firm hosted Early Careers Week, a week of virtual events dedicated to the professional development of first and second-year graduates, BrightStarts and placement students.
Jackie Henry, managing partner for people and purpose at Deloitte, said: “As a Deloitte graduate myself, I am particularly proud of all of our graduates, apprentices and those on placements with us. They’ll be building the skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world of work and I look forward to meeting them and can’t wait for them to bring their fresh approaches and new ideas to make a real impact for our clients and our firm.”
Ben Newton, 30, who recently became the first of Deloitte’s BrightStart apprentices to be promoted to partner, said: “A huge welcome to everyone joining Deloitte this week, you’re at the start of a special journey which is full of opportunity. Not just the opportunity to build your careers but also to help shape our firm and society for the future. I joined Deloitte as an apprentice 12 years ago straight from school and I haven’t looked back since.
“I chose the BrightStart apprenticeship because I wanted the chance to earn money whilst I studied for the ACA chartered accountant qualification as well as getting a head start into the world of work, where I could instantly be offered a direct route into the audit profession.”
Deloitte’s graduate programme offers a permanent job with a competitive salary, benefits and opportunities for learning, development and progression. Graduates get to innovate and collaborate with some of the most talented people in their fields and make an impact every day on the projects they want to work on.
The Deloitte BrightStart apprenticeship is an earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship, with the chance to gain professional and degree level qualifications. Apprentices study for fully funded recognised professional qualifications, alongside project experience and client exposure from their first day.
The Industrial Placement is a twelve-month paid work experience programme for undergraduates, training and working alongside our first-year graduate intake.
