In line with its commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace, power management company Eaton India has stepped up its hiring of women engineers across areas.

There is an increasing number of women that are opting for STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) careers, which is reflected in the talent available within the industry for these roles.

While still, the gap in the number of women engineers exists in the industry, it is encouraging women so that their presence is felt in the industry. Eaton too has seen a diverse pool of deserving candidates during university recruitments.

While speaking about the total campus recruitments, the company said that Eaton has hired more than 54% female engineers in the year 2021. This has been a year-over-year increase of over 19% in 2020. Women engineers were employed across diverse areas like data analytics, computer science, information technology, mechanical, electrical, electrical and communications, automation, power electronics, and aerospace engineering.
