Esri India, a leading provider of end-to-end Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions, has recently announced the launch of the pilot program for Master Mentors Geo-enabling Indian Scholars (MMGEIS) in collaboration with the Centre for Knowledge Sovereignty (CKS).
The program aims to make India a global skilling and innovation hub for geospatial technology and foster a strong IP framework to enable more patents from India in its journey towards becoming a global geospatial innovation hub.
The pilot phase of the program will cover 1000 students across India. The program aims to engage up to 5,00,000 students over the next five years.
Agendra Kumar, Managing Director, Esri India, said, “After successfully completing the essential groundwork activities, we are proud to launch the pilot program for MMGEIS.”
“This pioneering initiative represents our commitment to nurturing the next generation of geospatial innovators and leaders”, Agendra Kumar added.

Who can Apply for the Program?
MMGEIS is an online program that aims to inculcate geospatial thinking and develop a research-oriented mindset among students till undergraduate level who will form the future workforce of the country.
