HCLTech hires more than Infosys, TCS in Q3
HCLTech third quarter FY 2023 net addition of 2,945 during the quarter. The closing headcount was 222,270. The company added 5,892 freshers during this quarter.

An Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company, HCLTech announced its Q3 FY’23 results on January 12, 2023.

HCLTech partnered with Purdue Global for providing upskilling and higher education opportunities for its apprentices and the company’s employees in the Americas. The company launched a new skilling & certification initiative to meet the career development aspirations of its employees.

The company has increased investments in enabling upskilling resulting in 3 Mn hours of learning during the quarter with a focus on digital skills.

The company’s third-quarter net addition was 2,945 during the third quarter. The closing headcount was 222,270. The company added 5,892 freshers during this quarter.

The LTM Attrition was 21.7% which was slightly lower as compared to the September quarter of the fiscal year where it was at 23.8 percent. Women’s workforce contribute is 29.2% of the total workforce.

TCS

The company said that it will be hiring 1.25 lakh to 1.5 lakh employees in the financial year 2023-24 (FY24).

Since the company posted a decline of 2,197 people in its employee base, TCS headcount stood at 613,974 as on December 31, 2022.

The company also clarified that none of these headcount reductions are influenced by the demand environment, and were simply a result of mass hiring. 

TCS has reported attrition in Q3FY23 stood at 21.3 percent, a slight decline from 21.5 percent in Q2FY23 on a last-twelve-month basis.

Infosys

Infosys’ total employee count stood at 3,46,845 in Q3FY23 a net addition of 1,627 employees compared to 3,45,218 employees in Q2 of FY23.

In the Q3FY22 quarter Infosys, the headcount stood at 2,92,067 employees.

The current attrition rate in Q3FY23 stood at 24.3% down from 27.1% in the September 2022 quarter. During the June 2022 quarter, the attrition rate was 28.4%.
