AI-driven chatbot, ChatGPT is a conversational interface that can understand natural (i.e., human) language input and reply automatically.

The dialogue format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer follow-up questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests. ChatGPT is a sibling model to InstructGPT, which is trained to follow the instructions in a prompt and provide a detailed response.

The post read, “Within a short span of time, this AI-powered chatbot “ChatGPT” developed by OpenAI recently has gathered attention around the world. I also tried my hands on it and was fascinated by the way the responses were comprehended with great detail. I started gathering my thoughts on how this technology can add value to the HR function. Definitely, this new-age technology can turn out to be a game changer in many of the HR processes and bring process efficiency. One by one I will cover different HR processes and share my perspectives on how we can leverage ChatGPT to enhance employee experience.”

Let’s get started with recruitment:

  • From creating job profiles/descriptions to keeping them relevant with accurate usage of technical words & content, it can help recruitment teams with the latest updates/formats. The team can customize as per their requirement or provide requirements for the AI to suggest the content.
  • It will help in sourcing, screening, and interview scheduling without much of human intervention. We can also think of having real-time communication on schedule modification irrespective of the physical involvement of teams to communicate the change.
  • Interview experience can be improved, and with all the information available this technology can be used to give the latest status update to the candidate on his selection process. Many times, candidate rejections are not communicated properly and candidates keep waiting for recruiters’ updates.
  • Chatbot can be loaded with pre-onboarding FAQs, organization updates, important guidelines, onboarding formalities, etc. which can be explored by the candidates anytime. They need not wait for the recruiter to answer their queries on onboarding.
  • Few BGV checks which are carried out online through extensive database checks can be done efficiently and accurately.

“With the above process being taken care of by technology the recruitment team can focus more on consistent engagement with the candidate pre-onboarding. We can go on speaking about bringing process efficiencies but the Human approach will still be required to get the candidate bonded and engaged with the organization”, the post added.

The post further said, “By leveraging ChatGPT for all of the above, employers can provide a better candidate experience. No doubt it will further enhance the overall employer brand as well.”
