Tata Technologies, a global engineering and product development digital services company, partners with the Government of Telangana for a 5-year Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).
The INR 2324 Crores investment aims to modernize 65 government-owned ITIs, enhancing skilled talent availability and attracting industry investments.
These upgraded ITIs will function as Skill Development Centers, bolstering technical proficiency and employability, fostering economic progression and holistic state development.
Telangana government initiates skill development programs to empower its diverse workforce and bolster manufacturing and MSME sectors. The partnership with Tata Technologies amplifies efforts to upskill youth and modernize courses, aligning with evolving industrial needs.
This collaboration strengthens the government’s commitment to adaptability and competitiveness, ensuring that training programs remain relevant and impactful in the dynamic economic landscape.
Tata Technologies is collaborating with 20 global industry partners to upgrade ITIs, offering 8 long-term and 23 short-term courses tailored to Industry 4.0 demands. Once upgraded, ITIs will train over 9,000 students annually in long-term courses and 100,000 in short-term courses.

The modernization will enhance upskilling in Industry 4.0 sectors like Product Design & Development, Automotive Maintenance, IoT, Industrial Robotics, AI, Agriculture, and more. Courses encompass areas such as Product Verification, Additive Manufacturing, Digital Instrumentation, Advanced Plumbing, and Horticulture.
With a focus on practical skills and cutting-edge technologies, the initiative aims to equip students with the expertise needed for modern industries.
By aligning training programs with industry requirements, the collaboration seeks to bridge the skills gap and empower the workforce for the challenges and opportunities of the future industrial landscape.
