The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in collaboration with EduSkills Foundation, has launched a free virtual internship opportunity for students interested in cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Web Development, UI/UX Design, and Robotics.

The internship program aims to equip students with hands-on experience and enhance their technical and professional skills, aligning with industry demands. The last date to apply is July 10, 2025.

This initiative is part of AICTE’s continuous effort to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

It is open to students currently pursuing BE, BTech, BCA, BSc, and similar undergraduate programs in engineering and technology across India. The internship will be delivered in a 100% virtual format, making it accessible to students from all regions.

Key Features of the Internship:

  • Duration: 8 to 12 weeks
  • Mode: Online (self-paced learning + mentor-led sessions)
  • Eligibility: Students from AICTE-affiliated institutions in relevant fields
  • Technologies Covered:
    • AI & Machine Learning
    • IoT (Internet of Things)
    • Web Development (Frontend & Backend)
    • UI/UX Design Principles
    • Robotics & Automation

Selected students will receive structured learning paths, curated content from global platforms, and mentorship from industry professionals. The program also includes assessments, quizzes, and mini-projects to reinforce practical understanding.

On successful completion, students will receive certificates of internship from EduSkills and recognition from AICTE, adding significant value to their professional portfolios.

AICTE has emphasized that this internship is designed not just to improve technical proficiency but also to foster innovation, design thinking, and real-world application of theoretical concepts. The program is expected to improve employability and entrepreneurial readiness among engineering graduates.

Application Process:

  • Interested candidates can visit the AICTE Internship Portal
  • Register/log in to apply for the internship
  • Application deadline: July 10, 2025

With the technology landscape evolving rapidly, initiatives like this ensure that India’s youth remain globally competitive. Students are encouraged to seize this opportunity to gain in-demand tech skills and industry exposure while still pursuing their degrees.
