Over 96% employees at TCS continue to work from home

Milind Lakkad, CHRO of Tata Consultancy Services said, “3.4% of employees are currently working out of office, during the company’s media briefing after its third-quarter results. TCS has a consolidated headcount of 4,69,261 employees so this would imply a whopping 4.53 lakh employees are currently working from home.”
In the month of November, Saurabh Govil, President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Wipro Ltd had said, “majority of our workforce (over 98%) continues to operate from home as of now. We do see merit in people coming to office to experience the culture and build social capital via informal interactions. However, in these circumstances, our first priority is employee safety.”
Similarly, IT major, Infosys also have 98% of their employees working from home.
TCS and rivals Infosys and Wipro have been winning more large contracts from businesses that are investing in services such as cloud-computing and cyber-security to support their shift to remote work.
