Tata Consultancy Services has chalked out a plan to bring more employees back to offices
India’s largest IT services company, TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) has chalked out a plan to bring employees back to offices, for this purpose the company has prepared a risk assessment model- Intelligent Urban Exchange to assess how to bring back a certain percentage of employees to the office.
Intelligent Urban Exchange will work on below factors
- Employees vaccination status
- Testing the employees’ place of residence
- Risk assessment of areas/localities/regions
- Basic health parameters at the workplace
- Employees’ willingness to getting back to the office
- Employee satisfaction & safety
Leveraging an IoT-grade cloud analytics platform, the IUX Intelligent Exchange application collects and analyzes data from multiple sources and exchanges real-time intelligence and alerts across departments.
Intelligent Urban Exchange will also look into some of the critical utilities like public services, banks and stock exchanges, insurance, and healthcare institutions, telecom and utility providers, retail, consumer goods and travel, bank on TCS‘ back-end IT support.
Currently, total headcount of the company is 488,649 across the world, and since April last year 97% of its employees still working from home.
Earlier, TCS had said that the company will adopt a phased approach to bringing employees back to office, depending on safety & health conditions, and business requirements.
TCS has a Vision 25*25, wherein it aims to have only 25% of its employees work from offices by 2025. It also said every employee can work without spending more than 25% of their time in a TCS office.
The company has already planned to vaccinate its employees and their family members through a direct tie-up with the suppliers, after the government’s new guidelines for vaccinating everyone above the age of 18 years, starting from May 1.
TCS tied up with over 130 hospitals across the country where its employees and their immediate families can get vaccinated.
