Amazon India Head Manish Tiwary Resigns

Manish Tiwary, Country Manager for Amazon India, has decided to step down from his role. He has been with the company since 2016 and will stay in his role until October to ensure a smooth transition.

His leadership has been key in making Amazon a preferred marketplace in India. Tiwari is reportedly leaving to explore new opportunities outside the company

“Manish Tiwary, Country Manager for Amazon India, has decided to pursue an opportunity outside of the company,” a company spokesperson said.

“Manish’s leadership over the last eight years has been instrumental in delivering for customers and sellers, making Amazon.in the preferred marketplace in India,” he added.

To ensure continuity, Manish will remain with the company until October. During this transition period, he will work closely with the team to facilitate a seamless handover.

Amit Agarwal, Senior Vice President for India and Emerging Markets, will continue to guide the team, emphasizing the company’s commitment to the Indian market.
