INDIGO APPOINTS SUKHJIT PASRICHA AS GROUP CHRO
India’s largest passenger airline, IndiGo appoints Sukhjit S Pasricha as the Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective November 1, 2022. Earlier also Sukhjit has been associated with IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) as Vice President- HR & Admin from April 2013 – January 2018. Sukhjit has over 25 years of experience in human resources and before to joining IndiGo, he is working with Kotak Mahindra Bank as President & Group CHRO. Earlier, he has also been associated with Bajaj Finance Ltd and Bharti Airtel International (Netherland) in HR leadership roles.
HCLTECH APPOINTS RAMACHANDRAN SUNDARARAJAN AS NEW CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER
India’s third-largest IT company HCLTech has announced the appointment of Ramachandran Sundararajan as its new Chief People Officer. He joined the company in 2006 and before this, he was working as Head – HR for North America and Global Head – Sales HR. Ramachandran replaces VV Apparao, who has been associated with the company and worked as the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) since 2017, he will now take over as the Chief Delivery Officer for nearshore. HCLTech employs over 10,000 people in all its nearshore locations and it plans to double it in the next three to five years.
ADANI GROUP APPOINTS JAYANT KUMAR AS CHRO OF ACC AND AMBUJA CEMENT
ACC and Ambuja Cement, which is now part of the Adani Group of companies appoints Jayant Kumar as the new CHRO, effective 1 October 2022. In his most recent role, he was as Jt President – HR, and Head HR of Adani Ports and logistics business, and earlier he was associated with TATA Power as Chief Human Resources Officer. Dr. Jayant started his career with Hindalco in 1994 and has since worked with Marico Ltd., Tata Teleservices Ltd, Reliance Communications, North Delhi Power Limited, and NTPC Ltd. The Adani Group, the new owner of the Ambuja Cement-ACC combine, is looking to double its cement manufacturing capacity by 2030.
AZURE POWER APPOINTMENTS SHWETA SRIVASTAVA AS CHRO
Azure Power, an independent solar power producer and renewable power producer in India has announced the appointment of Shweta Srivastava as its Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO). Shweta joins Azure Power from Vedanta Ltd, one of the world’s leading oil & gas and metals companies, where she served as the Group Talent Acquisition Head – Vedanta Resources. Shweta has over two decades of experience in human resources and previously, she has been also associated with companies such as Sterlite Power, Indus Towers Ltd, United Health Group, Ericsson and Motorola, etc.
INFOSYS PRESIDENT RAVI KUMAR S HAS RESIGNED
India’s second-largest IT major, Infosys has confirmed that its President Ravi Kumar S has resigned. As president, Ravi Kumar was responsible for the Infosys Global Services Organisation across all industry segments. Additionally, he led the services lines and specialized digital sales across consulting, technology, infrastructure, engineering, and process verticals. He has served in various roles and capacities during his 20-year tenure. Ravi Kumar started his career as a nuclear scientist at the Bhabha Atomic Research Center. He joined Infosys in 2002. Further, he was appointed as the company’s president in 2016.
CORNERSTONE INDIA APPOINTS NISHCHAE SURI AS MANAGING DIRECTOR
Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc., a leader in adaptive HR solutions has announced the appointment of Nishchae Suri as Managing Director at Cornerstone India. In his new role, he will lead the overall business of Cornerstone in India and will be responsible for spearheading strategic growth, operations and leading Cornerstone’s local1600+ team to deliver strong results. In his previous roles Nishchae has held many leadership positions including President at EdCast (acquired by Cornerstone in 2022); Senior Partner, at KPMG in India; Managing Director & CEO at Mercer; Global Partner at Hewitt Associates.
PWC INDIA ELEVATES ASHA RAMANATHAN AS NEW COO
PwC India announced that Asha Ramanathan as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 October 2022. She replaces Satyavati Berera (Satya), who has been the COO for the last seven years and will retire in March 2023. Asha is a qualified Chartered Accountant and became a partner at PwC in 2009. She specializes in the pharma, industrial, consumer products, and service sectors, having advised several large global clients. She also held the prestigious position of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Leader from 2015-2017 and introduced many reforms to make PwC India a better place to work.
MONDELĒZ APPOINTS HEMANT RUPANI AS PRESIDENT, SOUTHEAST ASIA BUSINESS
Mondelēz International has announced the appointment of Hemant Rupani as President for its Southeast Asia (SEA) Business Unit. In his new role, Hemant will be responsible for the SEA cluster of markets including the exports business in the broader Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region, leading growth and end-to-end business. Previously, he was Managing Director of Mondelez International Vietnam, Hemant replaces Glenn Caton who has moved to another position in the company’s global operations. Hemant joined Mondelēz International in 2016 and before this, he worked with several leading organizations including PepsiCo, Vodafone, Britannia, and Infosys.
