In a surprising turn of events, Rajesh Nambiar, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Cognizant India, has announced his resignation.

Nambiar, who held this pivotal position for less than a year, is set to embark on a new journey—one that will significantly impact the Indian IT landscape. Meanwhile, Cognizant has swiftly appointed a successor to steer the ship. Let’s delve into the details.

Nambiar’s Departure and His Next Chapter

Rajesh Nambiar’s tenure at Cognizant was marked by strategic initiatives and a commitment to excellence. As CMD, he played a crucial role in shaping the company’s India operations.

However, Nambiar’s decision to step down reflects his desire for fresh challenges.

Effective immediately, he will assume the role of President-designate at the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), succeeding Debjani Ghosh. Ghosh’s term as Nasscom president ends in November 2024.
