Ex-Cognizant CMD Ramamoorthy joins the advisory team of Chennai Mathematical Institute
Ramkumar Ramamoorthy, Ex-Chairman and Managing Director of Cognizant, has joined the advisory leadership team of Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), which is a centre of excellence for teaching and research in the mathematical sciences.
Chennai Mathematical Institute was founded in 1989 as part of the SPIC Science Foundation, it has been an autonomous institute since 1996.
Ramkumar had quit Cognizant in the month of July this year to pursue his personal interest in the field of education.
Announcing the development, Ramkumar said on social media “I have joined the advisory leadership team of Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), one of the premier institutions for teaching and research, from undergraduate to post-doctoral programs in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Data Science,”
He added that CMI is recognised as a deemed university and has been supported by several reputable government bodies and corporate houses.
